Palantir Technologies announced on February 17, 2026, in a short post on X: “We have moved our headquarters to Miami, Florida,” and its annual report filed that day lists the principal executive office at 19505 Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 2350, in Aventura, about 20 miles north of downtown Miami. The former address was 518 17th Street, Denver. As of the company’s quarterly report filed August 4, 2026, the cover page still lists the Aventura address. (Sources: The Colorado Sun, Insurance Journal, Palantir Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.)
That is the short answer to what the Palantir headquarters move is, what happened and what it means. The rest of this page separates what the filings and named outlets confirm from what remains unreported.
What the filings and reports confirm
- The legal address changed on February 17, 2026. The Form 10-K for fiscal 2025 shows Aventura, Florida 33180 as the principal executive office and lists the Denver address as the former address. (Palantir Form 10-K)
- The Aventura address is a co-working space. Insurance Journal reported that the address matches an Industrious co-working location in The Abbey at Aventura, and that a receptionist declined to say whether Palantir is a tenant. The same report said a person with knowledge of the matter described a search for permanent space in Wynwood, Brickell or Coral Gables, and called the transition one that “may be unfolding in stages.” (Insurance Journal)
- Other offices continue. Insurance Journal reported that Palantir keeps offices in Palo Alto, New York and Washington, D.C. The 10-K’s property section says the company has leased principal properties in Denver, “which was the location of our corporate headquarters,” and leases other office space around the world.
- The company is large. Palantir ended 2025 with 4,429 full-time employees, 28 percent of them outside the United States, and reported about $4.5 billion in 2025 revenue and $1.6 billion in net income. (The Colorado Sun)
- Palantir gave no reason. The Colorado Sun’s report stated no reason for the move, and Fox Business and Insurance Journal reported that the company did not respond to or declined requests for comment.
The Colorado side
Palantir moved from Palo Alto, California, to Denver in 2020. Governor Jared Polis said he was not notified before the announcement, said as many as 600 people directly or indirectly work for Palantir in Colorado, and requested a meeting with company executives. (The Colorado Sun) Fox Business reported that Palantir did not say how many employees may relocate to Florida. (Fox Business) The Colorado Sun also noted local protests over Palantir’s surveillance technology sold to federal agencies, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement; that is background, not a stated reason for the move.
The Florida side
Michael Simas, president and CEO of the Florida Council of 100, called the move a “watershed moment,” according to Fox Business, saying it validates Florida as a hub for national security and AI innovation. That is one booster’s view, not a finding. Insurance Journal noted that chairman Peter Thiel moved his investment firm to Wynwood, and that the move would make Palantir the most valuable publicly traded company officially based in Florida, ahead of NextEra Energy. (Insurance Journal)
What has happened since
As of October 13, 2026, here is what we could verify and what we could not.
- Verified: Palantir’s quarterly report for the period ended June 30, 2026, filed August 4, 2026, still lists 19505 Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 2350, Aventura, as the address of principal executive offices. The SEC’s company record shows the same business address. (Form 10-Q)
- Not found: We found no published report of a signed permanent Miami-area lease, a count of employees who relocated, or the outcome of Governor Polis’s requested meeting. We are not guessing at any of these.
What it means for a small business
For most small businesses, a vendor’s headquarters address does not change the product, the support or the contract. Our read: the practical items are small. If your company has an agreement with Palantir or one of its partners, check whether the notice address and governing-law clauses in your paperwork reference the old Denver address, and ask your account contact. If you sell to government or large enterprises, nothing in the reporting says buying rules or contract terms changed because of an address. Treat claims that the move reshapes procurement or hiring as speculation until someone documents it.
